Does Taco Bell Accept EBT?

Mostly no, but it's expanding — as of Taco Bell's own early-2026 update, only select locations in Arizona, California, and Michigan accept EBT, through the federal Restaurant Meals Program for SNAP recipients who are elderly, disabled, or homeless. Everywhere else, Taco Bell does not take EBT, and Taco Bell Cantina locations don't participate even in those three states.
If you're not in Arizona, California, or Michigan, or you don't qualify for RMP, plan to pay another way at Taco Bell.
What You Can Buy at Taco Bell With EBT
Taco Bell keeps a running list of its currently approved EBT locations and updates it as more restaurants join, so if you're in Arizona, California, or Michigan, it's worth checking that list (or asking the location directly) before assuming EBT works there — it's only stores that have specifically enrolled, not every location in those states. RMP eligibility is also limited to SNAP recipients who are elderly, disabled, or homeless (and their spouses), so most working-age SNAP recipients without a qualifying disability can't use EBT at any restaurant, Taco Bell included.
Where EBT is accepted, it works for a normal hot menu order — tacos, burritos, drinks — the same as any other payment method. Taco Bell doesn't support EBT for online or app orders at this time.
