For almost everyone, no — regular fast food isn't something SNAP covers, and that includes McDonald's. The one exception is the Restaurant Meals Program (RMP), which lets certain SNAP recipients buy hot, ready-to-eat meals at approved restaurants, but only in a handful of states, and only if you're elderly, disabled, or homeless (or their spouse).
Even then, it's not automatic — RMP approval happens restaurant by restaurant, so plenty of McDonald's locations in RMP states still don't participate.
What You Can Buy at McDonald's With EBT
McDonald's locations have been confirmed as approved RMP restaurants in parts of Arizona (including Phoenix and Tucson) and California (including Riverside), but participation varies by state, county, and individual franchise owner — there's no single list that applies to "McDonald's" as a whole. If you qualify for RMP, look for a sign at the counter that says something like "Participating Restaurant: SNAP Restaurant Meals Program," or check your state's official RMP retailer list before assuming a specific location takes it.
Outside of RMP-qualifying situations, no McDonald's menu item can be bought with EBT, and there's no EBT option through the McDonald's app or delivery partners.
